I just took my staples out friday and i ve been wearing granny cotton panties since my surgery.

Can i wear girdle 2 weeks after c section.

Wearing a girdle after a c section delivery how soon can i wear one. I had my baby a week ago october 24th and i ve been told to wear a girdle as soon as possible to tighten up the tummy area. I posted about this a few days ago and i m not sure what the responses were but i spoke with my doctor and she said no lol and to wait til after 6 weeks give your body time to heal and not compress the surgical site it could cause further injury and take longer for healing she said wait til after the 6 weeks check up i also had a c section and want to wear a girdle so i asked my doc she. It s normal for your scar to be slightly raised puffy and even darker than your normal skin tone so don t be alarmed.

The first week after your c section you can expect to feel some numbness and soreness at the incision site. I would suggest the wrap around girdle like the one they give you in the hospital if you are talking about spanx type girdles i would probably wait until you are at least a month past the c. You should feel like your lower back is supported even though your adbominal muscles are not yet able to do this job on their own. You should wear it as often as possible too.
